Herb
You can buy an auxiliary close up lens from Radio Shack (called a mobile microscope) that will fit over the lens of most cell phone cameras. You can photograph down to ostracod/conodont size with respectable results, the kicker is it is on sale for $15. It won't replace a microscope camera but it would be a great place to start. Here's a couple examples, about 1/2 inch long. JohnBrian
Think it would work on an old Motorola Razr flip-phone? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- John
Herb
dunno, is the lens near the top of the camera? Say 1/2 to 3/4" from the top. If so, is will probably work. I'm sure RS will let you try one on your phone, "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence"_ Carl Sagen No trees were killed in this posting......however, many innocent electrons were diverted from where they originally intended to go. Herb
here are some more examples from the microscope attachment. For size reference the black squares are 3mm on a side, the white squares are 6mm on a side. Pix 1-3 are from the U.Ordovician of Kentucky. Pix 4-5 are from a recent beach in Guam. The last pix are U.Oligocene of Kobrow, Germany. The last picture shows the whole homemade mount about 40mm on a side. The forams in the box 22 are about the size of a grain of salt. Not bad for $15.
