Clanjones
I have a large trilobite hypostome that I want to prep, but the rock does not flake off the fossil easily. I am afraid of damaging the fossil. Any suggestions?
Triceratops
I'm no expert on fossil prep, but what are you preping the trilo with? -Lyall

RJB
Ive done quite a bit of fossil prep and that looks to be a tuff one. I would say that that specimen already has a problem. Doesn't seem complete, but not sure just looking at a picture. If it is complete Im thinking you need to use a micro sand blaster but you would need to experiment with different media to find out what works best? Hope this helps?
