Tulsa, Ok Area Hunt/meet-Up

I'll be traveling to back to Tulsa for the week of Thanksgiving and the first week of December and was wanting to see if anyone wanted to try and organize a member hunt and/or meet-up at some point during that time since I've seen so many new members from the area ever since I moved away. Just let me know if anyone is interested.

It would be great to see you there. And if you can't make it, I do have to go over to the OKC area at some point to take care of some business and see some friends, if that's any closer to you we can still meet up for a bit then.

I haven't had much of a chance to work on organizing this yet since I've been working the night shift for the last week. As soon as this job ends in a couple of days I'll try and start messaging people to see if I get things organized.

As a preliminary plan I was looking at meeting on either the 29th or 30th (if that works for everyone), but right now I'm still looking into where we should initially meet or (weather permitting) where we would go out (it would probably depend on what everyone wants to look for), so I'm open to suggestions.

Sorry to take so long on an update, the job ended up running long and then I had to fly out the next day, so I haven't had much time to get on here.

Yes, unfortunately I'm talking about November, I wish I could have taken my vacation in December, but too many people at our office had time off already.

I'll try and start messaging everyone I know tonight, the 13th and 16th wouldn't work for me either, because I'm leaving the 6th, but I'll probably be over in OKC the first week of December since I have to pick up some of the fossils I offered to the museum but they already had in their collection.

Part of my hope with this meet-up was to introduce a couple kids that go to school where my mother works to the forum since they are already big into paleontology and have been emailing me questions about fossils in Tulsa. Word ended up spreading and now there are a number of kids interested, as well as teachers. The good news is we can probably use the school as a initial meeting spot, the bad is that it limits a couple of my fossil spots since they aren't productive enough for a large group or safe for small children. There were a couple other spots I've been considering, but the fact that it is hunting season might make them unsafe, but I'm still working on that.

So I got the details finalized and we will be meeting tomorrow (Saturday the 29th) at 12:30 at the school before carpooling out to the site. I tried to message all the recently active members in the area that I could, but there is still a good chance I missed some, so if anyone else is interested message me and I can send additional details.
