Cen Tex Carboniferious Plant New To My Collection?

Recommended Posts

A local rancher brought me a couple pieces recently. He said I can go out and look around on his land but I will need to wait until deer hunting season is over later in the winter. I have not ever found ones like these before so I am looking forward to getting out there. These are sandstone casts of a tree apparently but we don't have much plant material around here so I don't have any publications other than marine. These will be from late carboniferous (Penn) deposit in Brown County Texas. Thanks for taking a look
