the1sun
The picture i have posted below is a fossilized dinosaur joint bone (so i have been told at least). I'm not sure on age or what species this may be from, but i was hoping there may be some idea by looking at the photos I have provided. The piece showing measures approximately 6" long, and the big ball end is approximately 3 1/2" x 3 1/2". Any ideas? Any information you can provide is much appreciated! Thanks! Auspex
As far as I can discern, this is a suggestively shaped weathered stone. I can see no bone-like structure at all. Fossildude19
Hope you didn't spend any money on this - I agree, looks like a stone rather than bone. Carl
Third vote here for a bone impostor. Sorry.
RichW9090
I'm afraid I'm not seeing anything bony here. The plural of "anecdote" is not "evidence".
jpc
Looks like a piece of limestone with two chert ends... differential erosion going on. No bone here... sorry.
