Texas dike Strange Bone Identification

Pterosaur

Recommended Posts

Hi there!

Can someone please tell me what this is? Found on the shore of the Texas dike among a scattered pile of sun bleached bones. Thought it was interesting, and would like to know what it came from. I am fairly sure it is not fossilized, but figured I'd give it a shot. Fossilized or not it's pretty cool.

Thanks!

Lauren

drum fish?

I would agree. Looks like a drum fish pharyngeal plate with the primary teeth missing.
