connorp
This is one of my most exciting pieces that I now own. I love learning about the origins of life so I was delighted to have finally procured my first Ediacaran fossil, Nemiana simplex. I got a surprisingly good deal on it, but it took about a month to get (ordered it 1/1). But it's finally here and well worth the wait! Comes from Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine, but I'm assuming the exact locality wasn't provided since Precambrian fossils are so hard to come by. The plate is around 3"x4". piranha
I just checked for the current status and sure enough, Beltanelliformis brunsae is now regarded as the senior synonym of Nemiana simplex. Anyway, I thought you would be interested to update the old taxonomy and read this excellent new paper. Congrats on acquiring a great example! Thanks again for the info piranha.
