New Jersey Cretaceous Tooth

I think it's too skinny to be a mosasaur. I believe it's more likely a Plesiosaur, (which are considerably rarer than mosasaur) or an enchodus (herring-like fish) lateral. Whatever it is it's a great tooth for New Jersey. Congrats!

very cool and as stated previously it's in the rare category.

which makes it even coolier

It's hard to remember why you drained the swamp when your surrounded by alligators.

I went about 3-4 weeks ago when it was still cold but before the snow. I found the tooth, after there had been rain, digging in a gravel bar.

: )
