Scylla
I haven't had the chance to meet Dippy, but I agree that he is at least an historic artifact. Maybe if he goes on tour I can see him in the States.
jpc
I doubt he will go on tour. He is after all, a plaster cast. The original is in Pittsburgh, and there a copies in plaster in London, Buenos Aires, Paris and Berlin? and??? This was the first mounted dinosaur skeleton that a lot of humans ever saw... in the ealry 1900's it was the ONLY mounted dinosaur.

Taogan
They'll find another place for him, he's been there for 110 years, but he's only been at the entrance for about half that time. There will be another place for him. Before he was in the entrance there were stuffed elephants there. Everyone has to redecorate every half century or so, even I tidy up and redecorate that often.
