Ok wow fossil grove looks amazing . We have a friend in Glasgow and now we have two reasons to visit. What did your grandad do there? Thanks for telling me about it. Bobby

I think maintenance- I never met him, he died shortly after I was born.

Wow! I think the fern on the far right is absolutely marvelous!

If that’s a neuropteris leaf that’s quite impressive.

The fish is pretty awesome. Is there a pic from a different angle, like the top? Maybe it’s on the previous page.

No, like the mother country and the "Big Book of British Smiles." Note my alarm to discover via a gene test that there is 14% Brit/Irish in me. Is there a vaccine? Lol.

There are a number of fossils in my collection that I would have no problem parting with, but this little gem that I bought in Scenic, South Dakota (White River Badlands- Oligocene) about 20 years ago for $3.00, has always been very special to me and I would never sell or trade it. This was identified as the frontal lower jaw portion of a juvenile Hyracodon Rhino with 2 erupting canines.

My favourite has to be my new species find of Jurassic brittle star, Enakomusium whymanae,  in situ photo of two together with matrix found in and one taken by the museum (x 55) of one of the arms I found after sieving the leftover matrix, I love the detail and preservation. An individual specimen would be no bigger than 5mm across.

For me, choosing ONE favorite would be really difficult too.

But these two I sure love:

Partial lobster (missing head and tail) from Lyme Regis, UK. From the Early Jurassic. The first significant fossil I found, as a 9-year old kid, and likely the one that really brought me into the paleontology world.

Then this is my best find up to date, and definitely holds a dear place in my heart. A woolly rhino molar Coelodonta antiquatis, found on the Zandmotor, Netherlands. From the late Pleistocene (40'000 years old).

Then again there are so many other fossils in my collection that I simply couldn't live without, because every one has a different memory or story associated with it.

It looks like these images have been subjected to 'diagenesis' that has rendered them unidentifiable. :)
