Shellseeker
Well, this is quite a thrill , and I have had a very fortuitous and thrilling month... with a little help from my friends. I am blessed with many friends who hunt for fossils and many of those friends are also members of TFF. The story here is that my favorite hunting ground (Peace River) has not been hunt able for months due to heavier rain than normal. This is the DRY season in Florida. I had almost become desperate when an occasional hunting buddy suggested a trip to one of his locations in a tributary creek. It happened to be the same creek that JCBShark has hunted recently. I asked Jeff for suggestions which he happily provided. This was my very 1st time in the creek and my hunting buddy got out and probed for gravel in a likely spot. He took the left bank and I took the right. After about 45 minutes of digging, this sloth claw came up in the center of my shovel. When I told Jeff about the find, he suggested I submit to VFOTM. I stand on the shoulders of giants. I am grateful and pleased and thank all those who submitted such great finds and all those who voted.
