joceybird
I found these hunting for arrowheads in northern Upshur County. They were on the surface downhill from a knoll after recent rainfall. It's a sandy "red dirt" area, with what I think are some scattered hematite and sandstone or siltstone rocks and pieces. Are they fossils? I'm new to fossil and rock hunting. abyssunder
Welcome to the Forum! I think they are in-filled burrows.

joceybird
Thank you for the speedy replies! I found images and description of "crinoid stems" that look VERY similar to my "things." I'm looking at your suggestions "burrows" as well.
