Recommended Posts

A great online guide to Trilobites, I used it several times to ID some of mine. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

The website is HERE!

This looks like a great website. I will enjoy identifying the the little (-15mm) trilobite partial I have found.

Great trilo site.

Anyone feel like practicing using the guide on the site? I found this specimen when rock climbing in a remote area of British Columbia a few decades ago. The scree slope was full of these critters. I don't know the age of the deposits as at was a mishmash of uplifting and erosion. Trilobites have always been a weak point of mine....I've no idea what it is.

There's no study on the paleontolgy of the area so it's probably not a named species or possibly even genus. Any help on narrowing it down to the level of 'order' appreciated.

The specimen is just under an inch in length.
