Im not sure if anyone still recalls, but Last summer I posted this picture, in hopes someone could guess its true identity. Well it is now prepared to reveal its true identity

I will post the revealed specimen in the reply.

Wow Paul! That's nice. Tell me again where it came from.

I do recall it, and it has turned out more spectacular than I thought it would at the time! Where do you come up with this kind of stuff??

Wow. Not often that you see "Oligocene" and "crinoid" in the same sentence...

Good stuff, Paul!

What a gem! It does look like the material I have seen from Mist, but I heard that site was slumped over and is no longer accessible. Maybe PRK has a different site? Or maybe it was collected some time ago, or the site has been re-exposed (erosion giveth and erosion taketh away)?

Seriously PRK, you have some amazing specimens in your collection.

Hi ludwiga- that is a flutter seed with the small winglets. I can't seem to find the specific details at the moment. It's around here somewhere

Hey Paul, neat bugs and plants...that last photo reminds me of maple material...something like an Acer...hoping Scott or someone else will come up with ID details if you dont have it. Thanks for showing us! Regards, Chris

Hi ludwigia-in all the many times I dug this locality, I only found a very few flowers of several different types,as they are quite uncommon

Here is one example
