The Duke of Fossil
Well this my first discovery a quite lucky one, i can tell. The location was a hill at about 120 feet and 1km away from sea. I found many shells and bivalves there. I just made a small research and found the following. Land was formed here at late Pliocene it was sea until then. So the shells are at least 2.5 million years old as i can say. The stange thing is that i found something that looks like a canine tooth (3.5 cm). And something like a bone that seams semi-fossilized. I would like to hear your opinion and share the joy of my first discovery. Thanks
Auspex
The first object, while tooth-shaped, does not show any enamel, nor underlying bony structure. If it is a fossil of any sort, it could be a water-worn burrow. The second specimen is part of an ungulate's metapoidal bone; maybe sheep? The third group are indeed fossils: scallops, oysters, and clams. Probably "the duke of fossil" will not reply. Tony Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough."
