KimC
I am new to collecting and know very little about the exact names used in these blogs so I appologize in advance. This bone was found 4/19/2015 in the Arkansas River located in Tulsa Oklahoma. The size is 1-1/2" length, 1" width, 1" tall. It isn't allowing me to add additional pictures. MgTattooer86
This bone appears to be a phalanx (digit bone)... As to the species I am not sure. Edited April 21, 2015 by MgTattooer86 If you show them a transitional, they'll ask for two more.
MgTattooer86
Also it appears to be mammalian, I believe its a proximal phalanx... Equine maybe? If you show them a transitional, they'll ask for two more.
Fossildude19
Just FYI - there is a size limit to the pictures - 2MB per post. You can easily overcome that by posting in a new window under the same post - just hit the More Reply Options button to get the attach photos prompt. Harry Pristis
Appears to be a stream-worn bovid medial phalanx, but can't say if it's cow or bison. DylanS
I would agree with Harry - definitely Bison/Bos medial phalanx. Edited April 22, 2015 by DylanS
