Hey Y'all,

I finished picking through the micro matrix I collected in February, and was sorting the finds when I noticed these little beauties! Had to check the ID before posting them here. (I was wrong again.)

Anyways thought Y'all might like to look.

Triakis sp , Hound shark teeth

scale in photos is in millimeters.

Tony,

As of 2008 and using paleomagnetic data, the age of the bonebed was narrowed down to within a few hundred thousand years of 15.5 million years ago.

Thank You.

Middle Miocene-- 12 to 17 million years old.

Thank You for the more precise dating. It is nice to know.

PS Do You think the ID on the second two is correct or do I have all three wrong in this post?

Hi Tony,

The first three views are of Galeorhinus; the last four are of Triakis.
