amour 25
Bummer for him. I bet never thought of that. But buried from the neck down I guess could not breathe then. Sad and just for a few teeth. Jeff
siteseer
Sadly, this kind of thing happens from time to time. A collector digs too deep into a hill from the side and it caves in. Sometimes, someone can pull or dig him out in time. This very sad and tragic news is given with few details as part of a very short article that appeared in a few local newspapers. ZiggieCie
And Golfers die on the golf course, and parachutist die, rock climbers are killed falling, people are killed in train and plane wrecks, killed on the way to and from work. Coprolite happens. Sometimes we go poof with a smile on our faces, and sometimes not, but we all go; POOF
Shellseeker
We should live with common sense and a modicum of caution, but the emphasis should be on the "living". As Ziggie implies, we can not avoid all the dangers that living brings to us. bone2stone
Well he died doing what he loved to do... He is not the first, nigh will he be the last. Do not do hazardous digs alone! That over burden is dangerous. I have pulled my mother out at an arrowhead site and have dug friends out as well. You know what? I only had to help them out once. Jess B. Uncle Siphuncle
I have a few sites where it would take one heck of a fossil for me to tap on the ceiling. I try to enter the field at all times with a firm grasp of Newton's Laws.... Grüße, Daniel A. Wöhr aus Südtexas "To the motivated go the spoils."
