A couple of friends indicated Llama-Camel, but I have recently found llama-camel and I think this one is too small.

All comments appreciated. SS

I would guess that it is Hemiauchenia gracilis, described by Julie Meachen in 2005 from 4 sites in Florida, and subsequently listed by Gary Morgan and I from Arizona.

Where was it found? It is known from the DeSoto shell pit, from two of the Inglis sites (1A and 1F), from Waccasassa 9A, and from Santa Fe River 1.

The plural of "anecdote" is not "evidence".

Rich,

I am amazed at what is going on --- this is the 4th camel m3 of the season for me (3 in the last 3 weeks) and I just do not find camel materials that quickly.

It was found in the Peace River above Paynes Creek State Park Bowling Green, Hardee County. Florida.

I will send the photos to Richard Hulbert.

Thanks for the pdf link, Calhounensis.
