Plaster Castings

I would like to make plaster casting of some of my finds. Are there any great ideas on how to keep the plaster from sticking, etc?????

The general way to do this is to make a silicon mold, then make a plaster cast from that. Silicon is bendy so you can easily pry it off the specimen, as well as the plaster reproduction. It also captures details very nicely. It is a fairly complex procedure that I will suggest you google cast making, or some such. Latex is another option.
