jhemphill Posted June 3, 2015 Share Posted June 3, 2015 I bought this juvenile hyaenodon horridus fossil partialjaw off ebay and wanted to know if it is a hyaenodon horridus, if it's real, and how I might be able to determine it's authenticity. Budgie B Posted June 28, 2015 Share Posted June 28, 2015 Those teeth wouldn't look out of place on a old fashioned crosscut saw! And would be very affective at tearing apart what ever they wanted to snack on. They have very distinctive twin serrations on each tooth, and I thought that would Make them reasonably easy to ID. I have no idea myself, but would like to see your little mystery solved. Do you know where they originated from? Great find! And I hope you get a positive ID soon.
