mill540
Hey Guys....New here. I picked up this tooth in a Flea Market. I've always wanted a Megalodon Tooth and this caught my eye. 1. Do you think it is real? 2. If real, what would you guess as to the value. I paid $40. I appreciate your opinions. Thanks

Fossildude19
I believe it is real - although very worn. You can check out the Collector's Guide on the Megateeth.com website. I don't think 40 bucks is bad for that - probably right in line, if you consider Bill's bargain teeth as an accurate measure. Elementalmage
I'm weary of fossils' authenticity that one finds at flea markets but hey, sometimes one can pick up a real jewel that way too! It looks like a meg tooth to me but it's either a very weathered true fossil or its not real. I'm kind of undecided here.
Fossil_Rocks
I'm weary of fossils' authenticity that one finds at flea markets but hey, sometimes one can pick up a real jewel that way too! It looks like a meg tooth to me but it's either a very weathered true fossil or its not real. I'm kind of undecided here. I've got some great stuff that I've purchased at flea markets. I've got some even better stuff that I acquired from talking to the guy at the flea market, who knew someone else. You can find some good stuff at the flea market, but given it's cash and carry ... the buyer better know their stuff.
