Auspex
The Fossil Forum's Member of the Month for July, 2015, is TqB Our friend Tarquin has graced the Forum with his knowledge and experience since December, 2010. In that time he has won the Invertebrate/Plant Find of the Month an astounding four times (and one of those took I/P Find of the Year laurels)! What can be deduced from his postings is that he has left footprints all over the UK in his pursuit of wonderful fossils. In his introduction, he mentions that he "...was an academic for a while up to 30 years ago -specialised in Lower Lias belemnites..."; this explains a lot! Thank you, my friend, for sharing your carefully accumulated fossil wisdom with us; I always smile in anticipation when I see that you have posted Well done! TqB
Thank you very much for all your very kind comments, I'm somewhat overwhelmed! I confess I've only just found out that I was nominated but promise to participate in this friendly recognition of forum contributors in the future. Thank you, Auspex, I'm a little embarrassed by your complimentary and characteristically eloquent announcement. The quality of your posts helps make this forum special. This is the most welcoming and knowledgeable fossil collecting community on the planet and I've learned an awful lot here that I would never have come across in books, papers or elsewhere online. I am delighted to count you all as friends. Tarquin
