Miocene Mosasaur Tooth?

I found this tooth today at Calvert Cliffs, it was found along with a partial skeleton (5 verts, rib bones, a pelvis, ect). They are all from the same animal for certain as they were all discovered close together in matrix. The tooth looks like a mosasaur to me, but everything here is Miocene (Calvert cliffs). What could this creature be?

They are not Mosasaur teeth ...They look like primitive marine mammal teeth ..maybe a squalodon species..if so excellent finds.

This is a tooth (likely a premolar) of Squalodon.

Which was arguably the mammalian niche-analog to the Mosasaurs :)

We would love to see pics of all of this find. Sounds like an amazing find to me, finding a tooth along with very possibly associated bones.

@xevanatorx Were you ever able to get these bones from the matrix? Would still love to see the pictures of them.

Nice find.  With the number of different bones that you found, these specimens probably have scientific value.  You should keep matrix from around the specimens so at some point the matrix could be used to accurately date the specimens.  You should also show the specimens to the folks at the Calvert Marine Museum to determine any scientific value they might have.
