Jeffrey P
I've seen some very poor Devonian plant remains in that area (imprints of stems and twigs). On the way up there are outcroppings of Devonian marine sediments along 9W between Saugerties and Kingston and along Route 32 about three miles north of intersection with Route 212 just west of Saugerties.. North/South Lake is a great campground- incredible scenery, lots of activities- hiking, boating, swimming, etc. You may not have any time to fossil hunt. Enjoy! PM if you want more specific info. about the above listed sites.
