Bone ?

I'm a little dubious about this one, but still hopeful. Does this show enough bone like features to be called a dense bone, as seen in some marine animals ?

Looks like what I have seen identified as a manatee rib bone, but wait till the locals confirm that

Manatee isn't present here but I can see the similarities from examples I found at Calvert. I don't believe this is bone; I think this is what we discussed on another thread - NJ concretions make collecting much more difficult at this location. I would like to see how others ID this because it does have some 'bony' attributes to it but I personally don't think it is bone.

P.S. - usually, I hate posting my opinions on finds that I think are concretions and not fossil, but in the case, I don't mind it because I am jealous of your sawfish rostral in the other thread! Nice trip :)
