ynot
Hey All, Here is a recent find from some micro matrix out of Rattlesnake creek. Is this a split file or something else? Thanks for any opinions. Troodon
Looks pathological, hammerhead?
Cris
That's a very nice one. My first thought was a pathological hammerhead too....But sharks aren't really my thing. And congrats on your 1000th post, Troodon!

ynot
Hey-hi Y'All, Nice find. Thanks Nice split tip tooth. Thanks Looks pathological, hammerhead? I think it is too symmetrical for a pathologic. Could be a hammerhead. Thanks That's a very nice one. My first thought was a pathological hammerhead too....But sharks aren't really my thing. And congrats on your 1000th post, Troodon! Thanks. I still find it hard to say pathologic for such good symmetry. I do not know shark teeth either, but I am trying to get knowledge on the subject. That's a nice find, Tony! I've never found one like that. Rattlesnake Creek sure has some nice surprises. Thanks, and I agree with Your assessment of the things in this matrix! Keep looking and hopefully one will show itself to You. Very nice Tony! Thanks There are two votes for a pathologic , but as stated above I see to much symmetry in this tooth for that. Are there any more opinions on this? Thank Y'All again!!! Tony Edited July 31, 2015 by ynot Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." ynot
Hey hi everyone, Just wanted to kick this post to the top of the list to see if I can get some more opinions as to whether it is a pathologic or a split file. What do You think? Thanks Tony Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." Al Dente
Hey hi everyone, Just wanted to kick this post to the top of the list to see if I can get some more opinions as to whether it is a pathologic or a split file. What do You think? Thanks Tony I think file splitting only happens in skates and rays where as they grow they increase the number of teeth in their mouths. Sharks tend to have a set number of teeth along the length of their jaws. Their teeth increase in size as their jaws grow.
