Tooth, Tusk Or Bone?

I am totally stuck on this one. I found it in Colorado River gravel, Texas. I don't know if it's river polished bone, the root of a tooth or a piece of tusk. One end almost looks like an occlusal surface and the other end is hollow. The closed end has a piece that has sheered off and reveals an interesting texture. Please help.

So you're thinking modern pig? It seems so's fossilized. Is there something that distinguishes pig from peccary?
