tuscarora-th Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 I was at GMR today and we had a deluge, the run is now a raging torrent. The current is way to swift to be safe. However, the rain stopped around 7:30 and as I drove back to washington the roads were nearly dry. Im gonna check the run tomorrow as sometimes the small streams come down the fastest. PaleoRon Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 GMR floods really fast because it's fed from a lot of paved areas. It usually drops pretty quickly after the rain stops. I've seen it drop two or three feet overnight. As soon as it is safe to get in, the collecting should be good from having the bottom churned up.
