Hey everyone,

I was hoping that I could get some input as to what species this could be from. My personal opinion is saw fish rostral tooth but it always helps to get a second opinion. I found it in the Greens Mill Run in Greenville, NC. Thanks for taking a look!

Hyperostotic ("Tilly") fish bone, perhaps.

Hmmm. I had considered that, but thought that the base looked too compressed for a sawfish rostral.

it's the worn condition that's throwing you off. We could be wrong though of course because a worn fossil is best judged in hand.
