Wow, it is really amazing. I must admit that it is really the kind of fossil that gives you the "Wow effect" in every museum.

That is a very high grade reproduction; the details are as sharp as the original; congratulations on such a high quality acquisition!

Amazing Ziggie. As child I would vote Archaeopteryx as my favorite fossil creature, it is still the fossil I can identify on sight to this very day. Congratulations on the excellent reproduction!

Here are a few quick photos of it on the wall. The light is a nice find. It is from home depot, it is an LED with a tiney light chip, and was $19. It also has a clip to attach, snake neck to adjust and is 110 volt plug in. TV for size is a 32"

Nice addition, this is when a cast fits in nicely. When you get bored drooling over it, I can give you an address where you can send it.

Nice conversation piece and decor! How did you hang it?

I just used a larger picture hanger into the drywall, into the stud would be great. It's not that heavy, and he installs a wire across and embeded into the back.

The light I mentioned works great and has a spring clip to clip it to something and a flexiable neck. HD also has the same light with a regular base.

Lucky guy! Funnily enough, I just took a photo of another replica on display in the Stuttgart Natural History Museum during their open day on Sunday. The original is in Berlin, although it was found in Blumberg near Eichstätt in Bavaria, as was also the original of the other replica below it.

Hi Ludwig, I enlarged your photo and the only difference I see may be on the left edge by the wing. The ridge on the edge may be more prononced on your Museums copy, but the detail looks to be identical. I know where you can get one. ;);)

I don't know shipping costs to Germany, it is not heavy, but it can be made in resin and would be lighter.
