I think that's the winged seed called "cardiocarpon akroni" by some. Leary called ones like this generally Samaropsis.

Yes, he said this was one of the more abundant things he found. He also had found lots of Megalopteris which is why he and others think there may be a connection. However, he thought they could also be a seed of unique type of Cordaites. Without one being attached to leaves, it's hard to know.
