JohnJ Posted April 7, 2009 Share Posted April 7, 2009 My wife and I met Danwoehr at the Arroyo of Ammoninity, near the River of No Return on Saturday. The day started nicely in the low 60's but warmed up quickly. We found some great Sphenodiscus pleurisepta, a few artifacts, shark teeth and a great evening supper. I'm sure there will be a full documentation in Dan's April Report. It must be the experience of the several years I have on Dan...but he eventually recovered. He acted like it was the ammonites, but I think it was the electrolytes. my wife cooling her heels her artifact find a very heavily burdened Dan outwit; outlast; muhaahaaahaa! my largest Sphenodiscus sp. next to a 3 lb. sledge (Dan's carrying a more complete one of equal size in the previous pics) The human mind has the ability to believe anything is true. - JJ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Blue-green water, lots of limestone, I think I have it narrowed down to somewhere within a few jillion square miles of central Texas. O Just prepped my 19 ammonites last night - Big Bertha is a quite a sight to behold - 14 inches without a ding in the entire keel, with a big, well preserved, attached gastropod to boot - my biggest of this genus to date!!!
