Plant matter removal

Hi guys been looking at the PDB and have found quite a lot of already but currently having the problem of removing plant matter floatations works but leaves about 80-90% still left so isn't the finite solution. I have had a suggestion that burning of the carbon could work but didn't know of that could destroy the phosphate any suggestion would be appreciated

If I understand the situation (not a given, by any means), the material you wish to remove is recent?

For algae and such, I have used a 10% bleach soak, and an old toothbrush.

Sorry should have mentioned it's fossil plant matter but it's has become so fragmented its obscures everything's the PDB on the Isle of Wight contain these really hard to identify material and it makes separating fossils from sediment after wet and dry sieve extremely difficult

Thanks for your response Auspex

In that case, I would probably try using dental picks and the like to physically remove the obscuring material.
