Can anyone confirm the I.D of this fish skull from the Isle of Sheppey (England)

I think this skull from Minster cliffs on the Isle of Sheppey is from an Eocoelopoma Curvatum but would love some confirmation if possible.

Any more details required please ask :-)

Many thanks for any assistance.

Gary

Can we get a profile view from both sides??

Size of the fossil, as well, please. I think the ID may come down to the teeth.

I take it that you used this website to ID it? If not, do you have any other references for it?

Regards,

EDIT: By the way, ... nice fossil!

Ooops thought I had done both sides must have uploaded wrong picture. This piece is 4inches long from the end of the jaw to where the body should be.

Fossildude that is indeed the website ive been using.

Unfortunately as I'm relatively new to serious fossil hunting I don't have much literature atm.

Ive added a couple more pictures hope they help :-)

Thanks for the extra pics!

Here is a link to a PDF with some other fish skulls figured in it.

It's a bit difficult to be sure, but it seems like you may be correct.

They all look a lot alike.

Comparing the pics of the specimen in question with the images available in Revision of the scombroid fishes from the Cenozoic of England - Kenneth A. Monsch, I think Eocoelopoma curvatum could be a good match. post-17588-0-92977500-1446901566_thumb.jpg
