jcbshark
I used to make shark tooth jewelry for a living, mostly regular teeth but I would wrap large teeth like this. They were a great seller This is my necklace I wear all the time Edited November 7, 2015 by jcbshark Every once in a great while it's not just a big rock down there! Sounds like it belongs in a different thread. "I am glad I shall never be young without wild country to be young in. Rockaholic
Not sure if it's jewelry grade but a couple of years ago I was wondering what I could do with fern fossils that I didn't consider specimen quality and tried my hand at wire braiding a pendant. It's amazing what you can learn to do on Youtube. RJB
I used to have a bunch of echinoids from the Bakersfeild area that were amazing when polished. I had several made with gold so they could hang from a necklace. Sold them all way back when. Here is the only picture I can find with sharks teeth I had plated with gold. I had a couple dozen made up with gold but again, sold most of those years ago. I used to do the fossil shows. Someday I will find the rest of them? Ha! Oh, look about in the middle of this display case and you will see the two teeth that have been gold plated. RB
PRK
Someone COULD cut this coral piece up for jewelry, as I aquired it for that purpose. But when polished , the entire plate had a lovely character. "I" decided to keep as is. So, it's better than jewelry grade? Sounds like it belongs in a different thread. Wrangellian
This whole Forum generally is about stuff that is too nice to cut up into jewelry! This thread is for the exceptions, no?
