Pics show top view with rippled circular area, bottom/looking into textured area (it almost looks like a smooth shell was lodged into the center) and last pic of the back of the matrix.(the lighter area on back is where I was trying to chip away but then decided to leave well enough alone) Size is 1" in diameter. Pleurodictyum corals normally grew on top of other shells, their preferred substrate was the shells of a gastroppod (snail) called Paleozygopleura. Your examples are a bit unique, as I have not seen many attached or in association with pelecypods. Another cool find.
