Good product for preserving friable matrix?

I have dug up a number of middle Pleistocene bivalves and gastropods but some have a very friable (crumbly) matrix. Is there some spray or something to seal and preserve it?

Hi guys! I have just dug up a bunch of mid pleistocene bivalves and gastropods here in Western Australia. Some have a great limestone matrix but some have a very friable (crumbly) sandstone matrix. Anyone have experience in preserving as fossil like this?

There are many different types of adhesives that might do the trick.

I like a very dilute, thin mix of white glue and water, but only use it on the sides and back. A couple of coats or more work nicely, in my experience.

Cheap, easy, and reversible.
