Mineral Wells trip. Could use some help please, TFF.

My sister and brother in law are taking a little trip to the Mineral wells area. And they would like to do some fossil hunting. They're very adventurous and would (probably) be OK with going just about anywhere.

They're going to be there the 28th of November. Any help to point them in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Thanks, TFF!

The squal creek reservoir is a nice area for shore line fossil hunting

With mosllusks and some ammonites.

Plus the Brasos River. But be cautious with the river that is might be still high waters.

The shores are very mucky.

But we did have some luck.

There's an exposure of shale on Hwy 180 just east of the Brazos River that has been productive in the past. Also, there are many road cuts on Hwy 337 heading north from the Mineral Wells area. Both of these areas are Pennsylvanian (along with the fossil park).

I don't do Facebook either and have never been sad that I don't.
