Chiquita
I found this piece in Southern Utah where there are lots of petrified wood pieces that were more brown/red in color. I was reading Tennessees Pride's post " announcing the first ever discovery in Tennessee of lignite fossilized to jet" and I am wondering if this is a piece of jet? It measures 4x2x1/2 inches Thanks
Auspex
To my mind, not quite what I think of as Jet, which forms under extreme pressure and is non-porous (and very light weight).
