I know that some of you know (and like (?) ) the quarry. I am not sure with determining the fossils. Hopefully someone can help me. Some of the pieces you already have seen in other topics or in the gallery....but i have also some new ones and hope that you enjoy. First Belemnites Acrocoelites Many greetings from Germany ! To the one in post #2: If you found it in the Toarcian Posidonienschiefer, then it could also be Acrocoelites. Passaloteuthis occurs mostly in the somewhat older Pliensbachian layers, although it can also be found in the lowermost Toarcian, where Acrocoelites also occurs. The easiest way to differentiate between the two, since the rostra have many different and similar forms, is to look at the apex. Acrocoelites has 3 grooves, whereas Passaloteuthis has only 2. I would warmly recommend getting yourself a copy of Schlegelmilch's "Die Belemniten des süddeutschen Jura" for study if you don't already have it, where such things are explained in detail.
