If not, you should. :)...

Mike

The STH matrix really has some neat specimens in it. I can see you have already found a nice variety. I especially like your Cetorhinus specimens.

You must have a really good camera and be very good taking pictures because you took very nice, clear pictures of the micros. I have several really good microscopes for picturing taking but the two cameras that I have are terrible and I'm terrible using them. I'm having a very difficult time trying to take pictures of my extant shark jaws with them. I can get the jaws in good focus but getting the teeth also in good focus has been a real challenge especially with jaw size variation from 2" to 22".

If you have a jewelry ultrasonic cleaner it will work well to clean a lot of the soft matrix and dirt from your specimens. It won't do much for the really hard, caked on bone bed matrix.

That looks like great material! I've always loved the micros. Them not taking up a ton of space is just a small added bonus as well... lol. :)

I went through a bag of matrix a long time ago and remember how much fun it was and how rich it was. The specimens were very cool and diverse. Looks like your having a ball, enjoy.

It really does...I was pleasantly surprised.

I used a Cannon point and shoot but want to use my cheap USB microscope for some close ups. We'll see how that goes.

I am starting to enjoy them...sifting this stuff has been a fun winter project. Now I need more. :)

Hey-hi Mike,

You found some nice fossils in Your matrix!! Ya gotta love those colors.

Tony

They are very pretty specimens...I took inspiration from your recent work with this stuff.

I was immediately impressed with the amount of teeth I began finding...a fantastic assortment as well.
