Fossil Claw
Purchased from our very own Mikemig. Eldredgeops rana & Monodechenella macroc on one piece of matrix. Now I just need to decide if I should prep it a little more or leave it alone. Edited January 16, 2016 by Fossil Claw

Fossil Claw
Very nice collection. thanks. Can't wait for the partial Amphilichas halli to arrive. I understand it is very rare even as a partial, and I am almost afraid to even think about trying to prep it. On the other hand I got areally good deal a no reserve auction where no one else must have realized how rare it is.
Fossil Claw
The horror when the gift cards run out! This is too much fun shopping for bugs. Glad my family understands my fossil addiction and gets me gift cards to get fossils instead of socks and pajamas!

Fossil Claw
Nice collection but the last one looks like a Gerastos not Hollardops. The seller gave me a refund for labeling the trilo as the wrong species. Let me keep it also.

piranha
Added by trade. Asapus delphinus Sorry to inform you this is not Delphasaphus delphinus, instead it should be labeled Asaphus sp. This example shows a key feature of D. delphinus: the eyes are not elevated above the cephalon.

They were fairly sure it was Asaphus Delphinus. Does this angle help with identification?
piranha
hmm. the person I traded with thought it was either that or Asaphus lepidurus. They were fairly sure it was Asaphus Delphinus. Does this angle help with identification? The correct name is Delphasaphus delphinus, not Asaphus delphinus. I'm 100% certain it's not Delphasaphus delphinus. The eyes of D. delphinus are not elevated to that degree above the cephalon. Additionally, the new photo shows the cephalon is not triangular as would be expected as another key morphological feature for D. delphinus. Google Images has many good examples to illustrate these differences with your trilobite. LINK

piranha
Do you think it is an Asaphus lepiduru Asaphus lepidurus is possible. Asaphus cornutus also has similar eye height. Partially enrolled trilobites are difficult to evaluate from photos. I would label it: Asaphus sp.
Raggedy Man
I would lean towards A. cornutus. ...I'm back.
