At the same dealer we see an eocene horse Protorohippus venticlum for sale. Sseth shared this adventure with us last year. The horse is here in Tucson to be sold.

Edestus Jaws : Carboniferous shark (sorry bad lighting)

That's not a mosasaur, it's a poorly sculpted basilosaurid; it's missing two tooth positions from the left mandible and has the wrong teeth in the wrong positions in both (i.e. the premolars are put in different positions left/right). Much of the archaeocete material I've seen so far in this thread has been heavily sculpted with so much artistic license and so little understanding of anatomy I wonder how much of it is even real.

dang, Bobby. I am ashamed I missed that. It is stunningly not a mosasaur, but a basilosaur. I didn't see a label so I wonder if the dealer is selling it as a mosasaur.

I met Geoff Notkin a few years back. I had his company make our wedding rings. The outer band is etched meteorite over laid on palladium/titanium. The stone is a modified princess cut blue/green Montana sapphire(that my wife and I found in Mt) in a tension setting. The rings were absolutely amazing. I sent him a thank you card and I received a phone call from him and after 2 min he realized we met when he came to Wisconsin chasing that famous meteorite back in 2012.

I'm glad to see you're having a great time and I hope the return home is safe boring and uneventful.

Best regards,

Paul

Very nice story. I met Geoff a few years ago and he is the most "down to earth" person you will ever want to meet. Stardom has never gotten to his head. Return home not to bad just 30 minutes away from the show.

Fantastic..... Thanks for sharing... If you get nr any UK ammonite dealers I'd be interested to see what they got....

Thanks....

So far just ran into a couple of dealers selling UK ammonites, most of their offerings however are from Madagascar. A couple of photos of the ammonites they had for sale from the UK

Any photos from Korite International or Fossil Canada?? Say hi to Peter Weichler if you get to his location. He's a friend from Calgary Alberta and VP of Special Projects.

The bottom photo in post #39 is the Canada Fossil/Korite booth in the ballroom. In post #16 the Ammonites outside the ballroom belong to Canada Fossils. They consolidated this year and no longer have the separate Korite room, everything is packed in the ballroom. Will say hello to Peter. I'll get there most days will take a couple additional photos.
