Need ID, genuine ammonite fossil?

Hello, I'm Syam, I am very new to collecting fossils. I bought a ammonite fossil at a craft shop, which the tag said it was from madagascar and is about 100 million years old. As a complete novice I am not sure if I have a real specimen or not. I attached images of the spicimen. The size is close to a dime. With 5/8th of a inch in diameter.Thank you for your assistance in advance.

Yup, it's the real deal. Nice!

Thank you for verifying this Auspex. I sort of wonder what species of ammonite it was. Age range and whatnot. I know there are different ones, but since I am not a paleontologist but a layman I can't really figure out the finer details...

Edit: Thank you Runner for verifying, I feel very welcomed here.

I think would be very close to yours.

So abyssunder, does that mean you agree that it is a perisphinctes as well, or a Nodicoeloceras angelonii as assumed by original poster in the link?

If it looks like that in the link, is a Perisphinctes. Also I agree with Tim. :)
