HamptonsDoc
What do you guys about think about this one? It seems strange to me with the different colors on peices of shell. I have seen other Oviraptor eggs with this but never new what to think of it as this seems unusual. What natural event would cause this other than being peices of shell from different formations glued together? Troodon
The egg looks real. A lot of those eggs were black in color. My guess is that the voids in the egg was filled with darker color shells. If you look at the joints between the colors the patterns is slightly different. -Andy-
Saw that egg. If I remember correctly, it's been circulating for years and has changed hands several times. It's real. One possibility is that the Chinese people who found it first did a hasty job to gluing shells in to fill up the holes. Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!
HamptonsDoc
Thanks for the feed back but I decided to pass. I don't want an egg that has shell from others glued to it. It just sold on eBay for $700 this afternoon with 1 bid.
