thez_yo
Here's the sunset view on my way back into town for the night Saturday, before heading back out for San Diego Sunday AM: And some of my haul: I'll take a nice imprint, sure. I just couldn't get a whole one... A couple fell out of matrix... oh well, they still polished 'em up for me anyway and they look great! And here's their ID chart- I did see that last one's imprint, the Olenoides nevadensis in a rock while I was up there but it was only about the back left half of it so I figured I wouldn't bother. I need to go through and ID stuff but man, it was great! If I go again, I know what I'm doing now, and seemed to have picked up a sixth sense for what rocks to not bother with by the end of Saturday. I didn't see any brachiopods, and my hopes to find evidence of the weirder critters like Anomalocaris didn't appear, but I definitely had a blast and can't wait for next time!
