Nicholas Posted April 25, 2009 Share Posted April 25, 2009 I'm a big fan of the Woolly Mammoth, and I would love to have some Mammoth hair in my collection. I see it often for sale but typically there is no indication of authenticity. I've been searching and searching on ways to check if this hair is authentic but have come up with little to nothing. Out of curiosity I've been wondering if any forum members have this material, and if anyone can direct me to a legitimate seller of this item. You can do what I did; buy an inexpensive sample and trust that's what it actually is Mine looks real enough. If it is from another animal, it had to have been a large one.
