NJ Fossil Hunt: 2/28/16

Trevor

Hello everyone, this is Trevor. I went fossil hunting today {Sunday} at an NJ cretaceous stream. I had gone the previous day with my friends but we could only stay for half an hour since one of my friends fell in a stream pool to shoulder depth and almost had hypothermia. I only found two teeth on Saturday but a lot on Sunday. My main method was crawling in the stream with my waders and finding teeth in the water, I also did a lot of sifting. Could anyone id the things I am holding? I know the first is a shark tooth but I am unaware as to what type it is. For the second I think it is just a rock but I have high hopes.

Plax

first one may be Plicatolamna borodini (may be Protolamna now). Second one looks like a worn mosasaur tooth. would need an interior view of the end to nail it down though. You'll get more guesses on the fossil ID section.
