Six days of hunting fossil shark teeth

As usual in South Africa the Government decided to make election day a public

holiday, so Wednesday 22.04. was election day and a public holiday.

I decided to take leave on Thursday and Friday because Sunday was another public

holiday “Freedom Day” and because if a public Holiday falls on a Sunday it is custom in South Africa to move it to Monday , works for me :D .

So I had six Days 22.-27.04. to go to the Beach, what a disappointment, every morning I went at sunrise and was mostly alone on the Beach for the first half hour but it was low tide and barely any gravel on the Beach after two hours or so every day I went home with a handful of small and broken Shark Teeth and a few whale inner ear bone.

Days like that let me appreciate even more the few good teeth that I find B) .

This season is really carp in Big Bay lots of sand and only very few good Teeth I can’t wait for the Milnerton season to start in June-July.

You may think it was poor hunting compared to other trips, but to me you did well!

Very cool. I have an Aunt and Uncle who lived in South Africa for a decade and loved it.

Thanks for your comments Guys ^_^

I'm back in SA since 9 years and just love it and after moving to Cape Town

2 years ago and discovering Fossil Shark Teeth I even love it more,

can't wait to retire in 10 years B) .
